OfSpectrum Sponsors ICME 2026 Deepfake Detection Grand Challenge (ESDD2)
Febuary 18, 2026
We’re excited to announce that OfSpectrum is sponsoring the ICME 2026 Environment-Aware Speech and Sound Deepfake Detection Challenge (ESDD2) —a Grand Challenge held in conjunction with IEEE International Conference on Multimedia and Expo (Bangkok, Thailand, July 5–9, 2026).
Why we’re sponsoring
Audio deepfakes are evolving beyond “all-real vs all-fake.” In real-world media, speech and background sounds can be manipulated independently, creating component-level deepfakes that are harder to detect and often sound more natural. ESDD2 is designed to push the field toward defenses that reflect these realistic threat models.
What the challenge focuses on
-
Environment-aware, component-level spoofing detection (speech + environmental sound may be forged separately or together).
-
Evaluation built around the CompSpoofV2 dataset scale (reported as 250k+ samples / ~283 hours) and a separation-enhanced baseline framework.
-
Clear, leaderboard-friendly metrics (e.g., Macro-F1) plus diagnostic measures for deeper analysis.
Prize support
As a sponsor, OfSpectrum will provide a $1,000 USD prize for the first-place winner, helping recognize outstanding research and encourage broader participation from the community.
Our commitment
At OfSpectrum, we build the trust layer for digital media—combining watermarking, provenance, and authenticity verification to protect creators, platforms, and users. Supporting ESDD2 aligns with our mission to advance practical, rigorous defenses against deepfakes at scale.
